Default Hot and cold flashes. IBS related?

Well im only eighteen so I know the hot flashes cant be menopausal lol. They started when i started PMDD this month (blech that stuffs awful) SO i figured that was it. It lasted two weeks, a week from the PMDD then a week during my period. (I have very irregular and long periods) Well my periods over now and im still having hot and cold flashes. I have IBS as well and its been flaring up on and off the past month or so pretty bad (ive had alot of stress) So i didnt know if IBS could cause hot and cold flashes.
The hot flashes are mainly in my back. I can feel them start around my shoulder blades then they set my whole back on fire. I thought for awhile I had fever but it keeps coming and going instead of staying plus Im not having any other feverish symptoms. Its in my back hten if its bad enough up the back of my head and the top of my head and sometimes my forehead. I even flush sometimes. I rarely sweat with it though.
The hot flashes last anywhere from ten minutes to a half hour and sometimes they're broken up by a minute of cold chills and a cold flash then back to overheating. Its very tricky. I can be in my warm room and start getting a hot flash then i get up to go into my bathroom which is cold cause it doesnt heat well, and i start shivering or getting cold chills. Im not sure whats going on! I thought id just let it pass but its been two/two and a half weeks now so Im not sure whats going on. Ive had hot flashes with PMDD before but dont believe I have from IBS but my IBS has been alittle worse lately
The IBS symptoms ive been having is cramping and pains in my stomach and abdomen, gas, frequent bathroom visits but not diarreah. Change in appetite (one second i'll be craving to shove my face full of food and the next the thought of it alone makes me sick) and nausea here and there.
Im not feeling dangerously sick or flu like sick. ive been very tired but thats my own insomnia problems. I dont ache or anything and besides IBS symptoms im not sick to my stomach or sick in my head and throat so its not a virus or anything. I dont believe its serious Im just curious what it is.
Sorry if this is so long I want to give as much information as possible.
Another thing is a year ago my doctor thought i had hypothyroidism but i went to a specialist and he said I didnt he believed I have a hormonal imbalance or problem. So i dont know if maybe thats flaring up and might be causing it?

Yep, 18 it can't be menopause

I suffer from IBS, but no wear near as bad as I "could" have it.. It, in my opinion, and a lot of other's, is caused from either, 1) a severe injury that "shocked you", and that is stress... or 2) general living, stressful living, never unwinding, taking time out, etc, type of stress..

So if IBS is caused by stress, then so is heat in your back, your muscles tense up so badly that it causes nausea and hot flushes, whilst you at the same time, are suffering IBS, from stress.

So, all I can suggest is :

    1. Hot Baths with Epsom salts.
    2. A Wheat Bag - Lavender -
    3. There are heat creams you can get from the Chemists as well, someone may remind me of the name
    4. Drink lots of water.
    5. Get a massage from anyone on your shoulders and neck.

The other thing is your back could be out. Your posture may be hunched alot say, over a computer.

Severe Pre Menstrual, stresses your back out as well, so you also (included in the above), have to walk, if possible at least 30 minutes...a day, as well as stretches, stretch the back and shoulders right back, Fitness balls are brilliant to sit on to straighten the back as well as, cheap and you can also learn Polities exercises which ultimately, will also strengthen your back.

    Look up Yoga classes

Thank you very much! This all makes alot of sense especially since my shoulders and arms have been sore lately and i find myself constantly shrugging. Its hard for me to relax my shoulders lately. It probably is stress since ive been really tired as well and having insomnia. Ive been waking up from naps and in the morning into dizzy spells and I usually do that with anxiety. Im probably still unwinding from a few months i just had of severe anxiety, with it I had stress related anorexia, which caused me weight loss, worse IBS problems and an infection in my bowels. Well I guess I'll just have to continue to relax until Im completely recooperated. Yoga does sound interesting to me Ive been wanting to get into it. Its hard to get into new things and such when your still dependant on people. I'll be getting my license soon it'll be easier to go buy the mat and tapes and so and so. Again thanks for helping! Maybe once I get my license I'll go to a nearby park for a walk daily.

Well not sleeping properly can also cause your muscles to not relax, as they are not properly relaxing at night... Try reading, and get a tape of relaxation music

Your body is going through a lot and you need to eat, for the energy as well as your bones being strong, therefore, your muscles relaxing as well.

Reading helps me alot as well, and you can walk around your house over and over until you go nuts but unless you eat properly, then you won't have the energy sweet.

    Are you eating more now?
