    Default Visible veins: a problem?

Hello, I'm a fourteen year old girl and last week my doctor told me I had mono. Before the week of , I weighed aproximately 110-115, and I'm around five feet tall.
I went through the week going through the usual feelings of wanting to kill myself through all the pain. I ate maybe two things, and I started feeling better completely yesterday morning. Last night, at that point, all the symptoms had subsided. Though, upon inspection of my body (noting I had lost a bit of weight) I noticed I could clearly see dark blue veins running through from the center of my chest through my breasts and running up just a bit to my neck before fading. I'm an extremely pale girl, so I thought maybe that was it, but I really never saw my veins like this before.
I don't know if it was just because I never looked really before, but... still. It made me a bit concerned.
Anyone have anything to say about this that may help me out?

A fever might cause it. Veins will get closer to the surface when you are warmer to help cool everything. The weight loss is probably from losing or not taking in enough liquids. I don't know if dehydration would have an effect on how noticeable veins are.

you said you were 110-115 and then lost some more weight. dont know how tall you are, but if you are really thin and then get sick and lose more weight, I see how you'd begin to see your veins. have you spoken with you doctor about your weight?

Since you have been sick and not really getting all the nutrients you normally would you are experiencing dehydration. Seeing your veins is not a medical concern if you have mono or practically any other condition, you just need to increase the fluids and try to eat more. The mono will be there for awhile but it will be finished eventually.
