    Here is my worry..

In about two weeks I have the ability to test again to join the military. I've been studyin a lil but thats in between work school and the gym.

For the past 9 months I have had faith that I would make it. Now its gettin closer and Im gettin a little worried. All thiis time I've wanted to join and worked my off. I've kept motivated and such.

My problem? I have an std and need a medical waiver. That is what I'm worried about. I'm not a freak, but what if they just decide not to even give me a chance?

woman are held to a higher standard then men so if my test score isn't as they like it I'll have to wait another 6 months to test.

Its that one waiver I'm scared of. I worry my recruiters wont try as hard for me since I'm not an easy g2g case.

My condition wouldn't slow me down, heavens no. As I see it that would give me more reason to try my hardest, to do my best and better.

Now I'm a litle scared, but I rarely turn to anyone about thiis. I try to stay strong about it. Come tomorrow though I'm goin to church and gettin down to pray. It feels like its the only thiing I can do now..

I think you'll be just fine. You've studied, you're ready. And to be honest, even if you weren't ready, the military is taking just about anyone these days because of the wars.

You'll ge just fine. Good luck!

LILp, are you taking the ASVAB? Just be sure to maintain a positive attitude and make sure to not come off as unsure. Especially to your recuiter. I spent 6 years as 0321 with the Corps, 2 of those as 0326 (know your MOS codes?? ) Make sure, if you haven't gone already to MEPs, that when you do..make an impression on the recruiters and interviewers minds. Be emotionally tough and mentally sharp. You want them to walk away from your interview/counseling thinking "well she isn't going to let anything stop her". If you need anymore help or have any questions for me, just feel free to message me. Out of curiosity, Parris Island or SD?
