    Yeast Infection (on fluconazole)??????HELP!!!!?
I was just at my Dr. yesterday and he gave me Fluconazole for a yeast infection......I had the discharge which was white, but now is almost sort of yellow........I also have abdominal pain/pressure where my left Ovary use to be(had it out so cyst is not possible) I also am not sexually active so I have no idea what else it could be though I have thought of PID(don't know if thats an STD) I took the one dose pill about this time yesterday and had thought I was feeling better, but mid day today the pain came back......and I also started having MORE discharge which was white........could this be something else, or can I have pain like this with a yeast infection?

    Additional Details
Also.....no swabs were taken This was just based upon my history and symptoms....

Could it be hurting there worse because I had surgery there?????

This discharge is usually thick as well, if yeast infection is the case.
When i had it, it would go away for a day or so, then it'll recur again. I can definitely relate to all your symptoms, so yeast would be my guess...

It's been a couple of days since your post, is the fluconazole working?

I usually itch really bad down there when I have a YI. I wouldn't know what else you could have, but I know I got this medicine just over the counter stuff, little pills that I put into my vagina(I'm sure it's not technically a pill but w/e). Had to do it for three days, saw little improvement until after the third pill. So if you have continuing medicine to take for X amount of days make sure to take it all.

All your symptoms sound like yeast infection. But Y.I. is just a way that your body has to let you know it is out of balance. It's more than just a local infection, it is an internal problem so all the creams and medicines you take would not address the real cause of the problem and so they will never permanently resolve it. The only safe (no side effects) method I know is to address this disease in a holistic manner to bring your body back into balance.

To accomplish this you need to:

1.Eliminate the 'on the surface' symptoms.

2.Make specific dietary changes and optimize digestion.

3.Strengthen your immune system and provide your body with the nutritional force it needs to heal itself.

    4.Detox and cleanse your system.

5.Alkalize your system and take specific supplements in a specific order and rotation that kill the yeast infection and spores.

6.Restore the natural bacterial balance in your bowels.

7.Eliminate the environmental Candida triggers that causes the yeast infection.

Just like a combination on a lock, any one piece applied alone will not cure your Candida infection in most cases. It is how all the pieces work together that is crucial.

Yeast is a fungus scientifically referred to as Candida. The specific type of fungus most commonly responsible for vaginitis is Candida albicans. Yeast is commonly present on normal human skin and in areas of moisture, such as the mouth and vagina. In fact, it is estimated that between 20%-50% of healthy women normally carry yeast in the vaginal area.
