Default Sudden hearing loss in my left ear!

OI can't hear much out of my left ear since Saturday. I was hearing fine and then I used some over the counter ear drops (it was hurting a little bit over the weekend because I had a cold) and immediately my ear felt plugged up and I haven't been able to hear well since. I've tried hydrogen peroxide and a gentle heating pad. It seemed to help a little, but my hearing is not up to par at all.

What should I do from here? There is no or discomfort at all, just the sense of hearing loss -- which is driving me nuts!

Do I just need to wait it out or is there something else I can try? I just want my hearing back! :-) Like I said, it does not hurt at all and my hearing was perfectly fine until I used the ear drops.

My ear just feels full or plugged like the sensation you get if you have water in your ears.

I don't have health insurance so I am trying to avoid the doctor. I'd like advice OTHER than going to the doctor, since I know that is an option just not one I'd like to have to use yet. I am not tooo worried since I don't have any pain or any other symptoms.

Not a doctor, but maybe try a self cleaning ear solution you can get at the drug store. Sometimes no matter how well you clean them, wax does build up and the first solution you tried may have just loosened it enough to plug the canal.

I'd go to the pharmacy and look for that.
