Malaria Pills?
I'm not sure if this post goes here...
I'm traveling to a foreign country and I have to get updated tetanus shots and a prescription for malaria pills.
A friend of mine took the pills when she traveled to India and she had a very severe reaction. She lost a lot of weight, had hallucinations, etc... she ended up in the hospital.
I know this varies per person, but I was just wondering if any of you have experienced problems after taking malaria medication.
Talk to your doctor about this when you get the prescription, the incidence of a reaction like that would be extremely low but nonetheless there because all drugs will have side effects. I would not recommend going there without the meds though because malaria itself kills millions a year but it is preventable with the medication.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
