I guess, to me, it would depend on why I would want to change. Also, your proximity to another town and their Dr's. I'm very familiar with Idaho, so, I know, that proximity may not be there.
I live in a very Rural Idaho town, and im contimplating changing doctors. There is a new Doc in town that i really like as a person, and everyone i talked to seems to only have good things to say. but here is my reason for hesitation. the doc i have now has been my doctor for my whole life, and delivered me besides. I know for a fact that if i start going to a new doctor he will not take me back on. i think he is close to retirment, but if this new doctor leaves for an unsean reason( has happened before) i'm up a creek without a paddle. I'm just looking for opinions on the situation. I have asked my husband about it and his thought on the issue is "whatever you think is right", which doesnt help at all. Thanks to all the ladies who take the time to help.

Friendship Prayer
May the fleas of a thousand camels infest the crotch of the person who screws up your day and may their arms be too short to scratch.
Amen
Whoever said anything was possible obviously never tried slamming a revolving door.
I am thinking about changing for a couple of reasons: 1) my doc now is a man, and I think a woman would have more insight into what is going on. {pathetic right?} 2) He is retirment age and i dont want to have to start with a new one in the middle.
The next town is about 20 minutes away, and they also have a doctor im considering. But the winter season can get bad, as im sure you know, and roads are a factor.
