    Default help-- heat rash?

i noticed some small red bumps appearing on the back of my upper thigh/butt area a littl over a week ago. i thought i was breaking out! i was putting acne cream all over it, but have come to realize i think it might be heat rash/prickly heat. although, it does not itch or anything. it just a couple little bumps in clusters in 3 different spots. i don't know what to do as i have been applying cortisone cream 3x a day, taking benadryl, etc. but it is not seeming to go away at all.

any suggestions? i think i will call the doc tomorrow, or is this something i need to go to a derm for?

    thanks for any help.

are they sore? if so i would say its probably heat rash.. if not, they are probably still heat related. its probably from sweat but its not necessarily acne. sometimes people get little bumps like that when they sweat a lot or are wearing un breathable fabric.

Wear some loose fitting airy clothes and maybe dust down with some baby/talc powder. Try to keep it dry and cool, see if that helps out after a few days.

yea my bf gets them during the summer working outdoors. if you have sweety clothes on, change and put some baby powder/talc on the area. after awhile it'll go away. just keep up tho or it'll come back.
