So for the past couple of weeks straight, I've had a tingling sensation on the ride side of my face, concentrated on the cheek area.

I've googled this and have come up with everything ranging from bad circulation that can be remedied with proper stretching to early symptoms of seizures? Yikes...

I did have my first ever sinus infection about a month ago, and I think it was mentioned somewhere in my searches that that could be related.

Anyway, I'm just wondering if anyone has heard of or experienced anything similar. I'm not sure how long to wait before getting it checked out. I'm not particularly worried about this, but I'd rather avoid something major down the line...

Yeah that's basically why so many will advise that symptoms not be searched too much on the internet because just as you say it can be anything simple like circulation to a full out stroke or seizure. Obviously if it were a seizure or stroke you would have been on the floor long ago and in a hospital bed typing this.

Sinus infections can cause some random muscle stimulation, but more so while the infection is present. The fact that it tingles automatically means the nerves are firing more than they should be, now what is causing that is the question. Can be a simple explanation like circulation, can be a muscle that got pulled in a funny way while you were laughing or yawning, could be from a small allergic reaction. Who knows. Keep a watch for any redness, spots, or swelling. A doctor may not a reason either since small tingles can really happen anywhere on the body for no reason. You could always get their opinion though.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
