Very sore nipples...

I've been having really sore nipples, only for a couple days, but they're VERY sore. I've been wearing the same bras and whatnot, but I seemingly didn't do anything to bother them. I haven't had sex since my last period so I'm pretty sure I'm not pregnant. I've been on and off of different types of birth control which are giving me weird side effects, is this one of them? If so, is there anything that can be done about sore nipples? I don't even feel comfortable wearing a bra or shirt, I can't touch them at all. Thanks for any help!

I'm not sure, but I know that mine get very sore about a week before my period starts up. Perhaps you are going to have your next period soon?

Switching birth control pills often can certainly give you a whole new set of side effects. For example, I once went through a period of a year or two of switching brands (for price reasons, side effects, etc), and my hair ended up falling out!

It could be that, or it could be what Crystal said, just your next period coming soon. How long have you been on this particular BC brand?

Actually, at the moment, I'm not on anything because there was a gap between the time my last pills ran out and seeing the doctor for a new prescription, so I've been off them for about a month. It makes sense that it could be due to an upcoming period, and my body probably not used to being off of the pill. I've had sore breasts before, probably as a BC side effect, but never such super sore nipples!
