Default Pain in chest-what is it?

I have a sharp, stabbing kind of pain in the left side if my chest. I can't tell if it is inside my breast or maybe in the muscle or something underneath. I get it every few weeks (although not really in any kind of connection to my period). It usually lasts about a day, sometimes a little more or less. I always feel the "stabbing" in the same two spots. I don't know what this could be, but it doesn't seem normal. I'm 27 and average weight. I'm not sure what to do. Appreciative of any advice or possibilities. Thanks you.

I get this EXACT same pain. It feels like its behind your nipple? Are you an anxious/stressful person?

it feels deeper than that. I do get anxious a lot, though, and I've been pretty stressed over a lot of things in the past couple years - child custody battles, buying my house, and stuff that's been pretty big for me. I worry a lot. Do you think that's connected?

I was told with my chest pains, that it was because of anxiety and stress. If your worried about it you could always speak to your doctor on the phone or make an appointment. It sounds exactly the same as my chest pains, so I would imagine the cause is the same.

It could be a virus in the cartiledge of your ribs. I had never heard of such a thing, until I was told that was what I had. But if it continues why not put your mind at ease and get it checked?
