What causes someone body to go into shock when they see another body affected. This might sound strange to some but when I see someone else body been affect be it a bad cut or some other type of injury I go into shock.

I get the following, extremely low blood pressure, Fast but weak pulse, Dizziness, faintness or light-headedness, Feeling, weak or nauseous. Moist, clammy skin, Profuse sweating, Unconsciousness, Feeling confused

All suggestion to what might cause this and what may help to getting over it are greatly appreciated.

This is one of the most common phobias in the world. It is actually called blood-injection-injury phobia. There is no real cause it is more of a development from childhood type of personality disorder. Some of the time it is because of one main event, but of course that is not always the case because many things simply do not have a route cause but a casual development. As for treatment, many therapists will explore the exposure technique which involves exactly that. Being placed into a situation, slowly of course, and exposed to the phobia to show that there is nothing to fear. It is done to gain the confidence that the individual is not going crazy or weird or anything, just to show that the person can overcome these fears if they decide to.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.

Thanks its a secret of your feedback.
Ive looked into it now that i now it has a title .
Its really interestiong to learn more on it as i always just put it to the back of my mind a few days after the incident had occured.

i have been trying to think of ways in which i can introduce myself to the phobia. any suggestions
I would like to get over this phobia, it really is a mind set as previously i had a very bad fear of needle but over the last 12months i recieved 3 needles with out any signs of shock . Each situation went fine , as a result of prepertion for the event.telling myself i would be fine.

I feel it is not quite the same with the blood phobia.
on a coulpe of occasions i have been able to handle the situation but my last occasion i come across an individual that was cut and from their discription of what had happened to them, i could not stay on my feet , when into all the symtoms of shock and fainted.

for me its harder to get over the phobia of needles than blood.?????
