This has been going on for a few days. Whenever I am outside in fresh air, I breathe normally and great. When I get inside places (houses, stores, my car, etc...) I start coughing really bad. It comes in spurts, a series of dry coughs every 4-6 minutes until I get outside again.
What can be causing this?
The weather has changed, we've been in a heatwave (I live in Kansas City, Mo). I have tried sleeping with a humidifier, cough drops, Robotussin, etc. The cough is really bad at night.
I am trying to hold of going to the doctor yet because I don't have insurance. I don't have any other symptoms, no headache, nasal congestion, fever, etc...nothing like that. Just coughing when I am inside places.
What can I use at night to help me sleep? Is Vicks Vapor Rub good? I can't take nyquil or anything else that has a sleep aid. It messes with my heart rate.
it's a dry cough, I don't feel like anything needs to be coughed up and again, it only happens whenever I am NOT outside.
