You would have to ask your physician if this is a medication that can be weaned off of, as in lowering the dose. You could also ask your pharmacist ahead of time incase you cannot get in to see your doctor.
I started taking Elivil this past January for headaches due to insomnia. The medication had regulated my sleep habits and and my headaches (for the most part) stopped. I had forgot to refill my prescription on time and left my self short on pils. So in just 3 days not taking the pills the insomnia and headaches have returned. I will be getting my refill on the 20th thank goodness. Now my question is will there ever come a time I can come off this medication or am I gonna be on it for life?

I see him in September so I will ask him then, I just wonder if it will always be a battle to get some sleep without meds.
