Hi Kay,
I'm a bit confused as to "holes in your tonisls" What do you think can cause and damage that?
Is there puss coming out from those holes?
Have you ever asked a Doctor?

Do we not realise that in order to find a soul
It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.
Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
you must believe!
Yes it can. The stomach acid from throwing up so much is going to slowly eat away at all of the tissues in your throat, esophagus, and mouth. You will see a slow deterioration of your teeth, your skin cells at the back of your throat will slowly become inflamed causing other esophageal complications, your tonsils can become regularly infected as well. It is not at all good.but can it cause holes in your tonsils? i notised them about a year ago and every now and then i will see whiteish - yellowish clots of [ what looks like puss clots ].. i thought it was my tonsils getting infected but my throte doesnent even hurt.
As for the white/yellowish stuff you describe it is likely an infection like strep throat or another oral infection due to the highly inflamed throat. Either way you will need to see a doctor to get antibiotics.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
It could simply be tonsiliths in your tonsils. Everyone gets them at least once. It can be related to the bulimia, but it could also be food you are eating, toothpaste you are using...really anything. Look them up and take a look at some of the pics (warning, it's gross). Likely it's what you've seen in your tonsils. If it's too bad, get your tonsils out.
The more serious issue is the throwing up. Your teeth will rot, there is NO chance they will not....and you are increasing your chances of esophageal cancer each time. All cancers are basically deformed cells. Imagine a round cell, constantly being destroyed by sun, stomach acid, chemicals in ciggs...whatever. Each time that little round cell has to regrow, it has a greater chance of growing into something like a triangle. Once you have one little triangle cell on your body, the odds are even greater that the cells around it will catch on and grow into triangles themselves. Then you have a tumor of stupid triangle cells, and likely cancer.
It's the easiest way to explain what happens to cells that cause cancer.
Get to a doctor to manage the bulimia...eventually you can end up with holes in your esophagus or dead.
you have an infection in your throat.
bulimia wrecks your body, i've been bulimic since i was thirteen and im twenty five now.
it weakens your immune system which makes you more susceptible to infections and illnesses.
basically what you're doing every time you throw up is rinsing your throat and mouth with hydrochloric acid.
this wears away soft tissue over time (this is why its quite common for bulimics to cough and throw up blood) and destroys your teeth.
get yourself to a doctor x
'so why care for these petty obsessions? your designer heart still beats with common blood. and what if you could have genetic perfection? would you change who you are if you could?'
One question: do they look like little hard balls coming out of your tonsils? And, do they smell awful? If that's the case, they could be what are called tonsil stones. They're basically dead cells, residual food enzymes, etc. that form in the pockets of the tonsils. These are not usually harmful - I get them from time to time. But they can cause infection, and usually indicate that either your mouth or your upper respiratory system are unclean.
But, like everyone has said here, bulimia can do quite a lot of harm to the throat and body - I'm not going to repeat what everyone else has said. Have you thought about seeking professional help or support? There are so many support groups out there for bulimia sufferers.
