So I woke up this morning to look in the mirror and find out that the left side of my face is swollen. It's not sore and it's not itching. My bf and I looked for any bug bites, but we can't see any at all. Around my eye is starting to turn black and the swelling is getting worse. I know that an abscess tooth can cause swelling but my gums are not swollen at all. Can someone please give me some ideas to what it could be?
If things are turning black without an indication of an area of pain then it can be a serious thing. This is a situation when a doctor is needed asap, especially if there was no reason for it to happen (like a bite, or physical trauma from hitting your head etc).
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
