    Hi Everyone,

I have been having some health issues for a while now, and could really use some input from anyone who shares my symptoms.

I have been experiencing mild to severe nausea on and off for a few months now. I never vomit, though I sometimes feel as though I will. Up until recently that was my only symptom. For the last couple of weeks I have been very tired. I have a hard time getting out of bed in the morning, and feel like I need to nap during the day, even after 8 hours of sleep. For the last couple of days I have suffered with more severe and more frequent nausea. And now I also feel weak and dizzy, and suffer from frequent headaches. In addition, I have gained 10 pounds in the last 2 weeks. Im not sure why I have gained this weight. I have been sucessfully doing Weight Watchers for about 8 months, and have lost 15 pounds. Now most of the lost weight is back in this very short time. I also run 2 miles 3 days a week and work a physically demanding job in the evenings 5 days a week. So I am at least moderately active. I also find myself to be short tempered and irritable which is not how I normally am.

I have had a very stressful year, with some big problems with my marriage, a new baby, and my husband and I both losing our jobs at the same time. But recently all of these problems have gotten much better. We have both worked very hard to get our marriage back on track, and we are both employed again. I realize that my stress level has been through the roof and I was a little depressed, but I feel both of these issues are much better now.

I have considered pregnancy, and have taken a couple of tests. Both were negative. Other than that, I am at a loss. We dont have insurance and so cant afford to see a doctor. These issues have gotten bad enough that they are interfering with my ability to function. If anyone has any advice, I would really appreciate hearing it! Thanks!

Could be anything really. Eventually a good majority of people feel icky and just do not know why, and often neither do doctors. The nausea and dizziness are often the signs of the simple flu but then again if it were that it would hit hard and leave within a few days. Do you, or your family have any history of anemia? Blood clots? High blood pressure? Diabetes? Since you are now employed do they offer insurance? A simple visit to the doc would probably be of good benefit.

High blood pressure does run in my family, but mine has always been fine. No, we dont have insurance with either of our jobs. I agree that I probably really should see a doctor, thats just not a possibility right now. I have been a very healthy person for all of my life. I dont ever even get a cold or the flu! I am at a loss, and am afraid that something is really wrong.

Honestly the only thing you can do is either wait it out or find some way to get insurance, sucks yes but your symptoms are so incredibly broad it could be anything. You can try some general OTC medications like cold or flu and Gravol for the nausea and see what happens.

Do you take vitamins daily? What is your diet like?

Yes, I do take vitamins every day. That's a habit I got into while pregnant, and I have kept it up. As far as my diet, I feel that I am a reasonably healthy eater. I only drink water. No teas, coffee, or soda. I will typically eat yogurt and toast for breakfast. Lunch is something like a salad with some type of protein or a sandwich. I will usually snack on an apple mid afternoon. Supper is usually something like a tuna noodle casserole. I have 1 piece of chocolate in the evening every night.
