    Question Night Sweats...ugh

So, I have always experienced night sweats. And now as an adult I still have them, but they are not every night. Last night I woke up completely soaked, sleeping in a puddle. Gross--It is so uncomfortable, that I have to get up and towel off. But I'm still getting back into a wet bed.

I feel like there might be a nutritional component to this. Any suggestions or thoughts?

I know you are only in your 30's.... BUT is your menstrual cycle normal, no signs of pre menopause or anything?

Hmmm...well I am pretty regular on my cycle but what would signs of pre menopause look like? I know my mom has been enjoying menopause the last couple years...

Hypoglycemia can case night sweats. A small snack of complex carbohydrates at bedtime would help prevent it.

If you are regular, I wouldn't worry about the menopause. Like chisaki said, hypoglycemia can cause them, as well as wacky hormone levels. Try chisaki's suggestion, if that doesn't help, maybe get into your Dr and see if they can run some tests.

I think it could definitely be sugars related. I'm a pretty regular non-sugar eater. I don't drink caffeine: soda or coffee, but when I do it completely affects me. I think it is probably the same for sugar. We went out for ice cream last night and I also had some dried mangos before bed too!

Thanks for your input ladies!! I will definitely look into the ins and outs of hypoglycemia.

PS--Lana, I just realized your picture of your spork/batman. It made me laugh out loud. I will have to send you a pic of my dog that has ears just like your spork!!
