I was wondering what everyone's resting heart rate was? I am about twenty-four years old, 5"5, 120 pounds, good physical shape and health. My resting heart rate is always anywhere between 90-100. That seems really high for just sitting there. I do not have any other health problems nor do I have any chest pain, light headness, etc. Just a high heart rate. Of course, it sky rockets after working out.
Do you think this is something I should be concerned about? I do not heave health insurance so getting it checked out would be expensive.
I was just curious as to what other people's heart rates are. My boyfriend's resting heart rate is 60.

I am not sure what my family history is regarding health since I am adopted.

    About 65 per minute.
The doctor always compliments me on that and my low blood pressure - she credits that to the many years I was a bodybuilder.
The bad side of this? Your metabolism is also slow... weight gain is easy if not careful.

Mine is 77. I don't know what is normal and what isn't though but I generally check my resting heart rate once a week, if I remember and don't jump out of bed like I normally do.

Mine is between 60 and 65 unless I have been drinking coffee or other caffeine. Then it might be as high as 80.

I have lower than average BP. I have a real problem with orthostatic hypotension so I'm almost constantly sitting back down after getting up or bending over after standing. My Dr just said to eat more salt, so I do. I eat salt = no fainting spells from standing. I don't eat enough salt = I usually put my head down or fall onto the nearest person after standing :P hehe
