Yes I did notice, I was commenting on the general subject of the protein because not many people will actually know of it to begin with.Notice I didn't say "cow's protein" but rather "one of the proteins found in cow's milk"?

There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
I think that the question at hand is if you are lactose intolerant, can you put weight on as the poster was heavier before changing her diet after being diagnosed with being lactose intolerant.

It doesn't happen over night
if truth were to be told.
Like everything in life that's hard to achieve
you must believe!
I do not think so. I mean the fats in dairy products will work to gain weight, removing them will just leave things stagnant and not necessarily mean weight loss will now occur. Weight loss after the fact of removing a certain food stuff means the weight loss will be based on metabolism, individual metabolism, not a predicted "do this and you will lose weight". If no weight is lost it means your body is content with what it sees even if you are not so nothing is going to be metabolically removed. If weight loss occurs then it is likely due to the cleanse itself. A lot of medical professionals do not support any sort of cleanse because it is essentially ridding your body of nutrients and making you have a lot of diarrhea most of the time.
As for the intolerance it can be due to simply to the shock of it being back in the system. I could eat a week or two of gross fast food, my body would get used to seeing it, I stop eating it for a bit then have it again and I get sick. It is not due to an intolerance in that case it is simply due to the shock to the body of it being reintroduced when it just got used to not seeing it there. An intolerance would happen, or at least show some slight signs, quite often. Dairy will produce gas anyway, having it does not mean a person is intolerant it just means your body is acting like many other body's. The problem comes from the gurgling, the mass gas, the throwing up feeling...just general "this does not feel right" with any consumption at any amount on any day. That is more of an intolerance. An allergy is completely separate.

Thanks ItsASecret. Best explanation yetThe cleanse i did though didn't keep me from eating and i never had diarrhea or anything like that. It was a lot of vitamins and fiber (Company called Advocare.. it's part of their 24 day challenge.. LOVE it)
And yeah when i eat dairy i get gurgling (borborgamy(sp) is the technical term.. very audible.. almost annoyingly so!) I never threw up but my stomach would bloat like nobodies business and it would ache and ache until I could finally "release".. which i can't do at work because i'm shy hahaha. Anyways, i think it's just best to avoid mass amounts of dairy and of course fast food.. i have a sensitive stomach apparently so may as well cut out the stuff that causes the issues! i feel much better with out it so more power to me i guess! ha
