    i am a woman's who's ruler shaped. my measurements are 32C, 25, 32.

    *Removed pic*

I pretty much know that i'm going to gain weight in my butt and thighs, which is probably going to give the illusion that i have bigger hips (which won't be the case) because the butt and thighs are the typical places a ruler shaped woman carries weight, am i correct? but will i ever gain any more weight in my breasts? and is it possible to work out to where my stomach gets those curvy dents like hourglass shaped women have? (because normally ruler shaped women's stomach's tend to be straight up and down) any suggestions?

    1. Why do you think you are going to gain weight? Eating? Pregnant? Lifestyle?

    2. I don't think that you are "ruler shaped" at all.

    3. I think you have a body that most women would A)die for, or B)kill for.

While I am not a scientist, medical researcher or medical professional of any kind, I assume that it's very hard to tell where the added weight goes (what specific part of the body) when any of us gain weight. If we could direct the weight to specific areas then those with smaller busts, who wanted bigger busts, would direct it to go there. Those of us without a butt would direct it to go there, etc.

Unfortunately, we don't get to pick and choose where extra weight goes, so it's better, for a lot of reasons, not to gain any.

As far as those "curvy dents" in your stomach, I will assume that you mean obtaining a "six pack" or doing the work necessary to get your abdominal muscles to show. Again, I don't think it is limited to one type of person or body shape. A lot of it depends on your diet, how much you exercise, the types of exercises that you are doing and how hard/long you are willing to work at it to achieve the desired results.

I think your body is hour glass shaped already. Perhaps not as much as some others that you have seen, but it certainly is not a "ruler" by any means.

Don't develop a body image problem, your breasts and buttocks being the same is perfect, envied, your waste to me looks fantastic...

I agree with SA. Pretty much all dimensions in the "ideal" range. Rulers are straight, you are not.

well, thank you all for your responses and compliments.

i just assumed i was ruler shaped because when i type my measurements into body shape calculators, it keeps saying "banana" or "straight", i'm guessing because the ideal hourglass figure has a waste 10 inches less than her top and bottom half, while i only have seven. but thank you all.
and seekers_advice, i'm not sure if i'll be gaining weight any time soon or not, i am just curious as to where my weight will be carried since i'm relatively small and haven't really gained enough weight to see where it's going. however, my mission is to gain ten pounds: i've been trying to gain weight all my life so that i may feel better about myself and look better and fill out clothes more easily. i'm in college now and hoped that i'd experience the freshman 15, but to my dismay, my weight has been wavering from 104 to 106 and hasn't gone past.

thank you all very much for your help.

The people making the calculators are out to lunch. The descriptions should be in percentages instead of a specific number of inches. So a woman with a 60 inch bust and hips, but with a 50 inch waist would have an hourglass figure? I think not.
