Thread: brown discharge and stomach ache 1 week after period?

It's been almost exactly a week after my last period ended (today is wednesday, it ended last friday), and today i woke up with a stomach ache. after i went to the washroom, i noticed that i had a bit of brown blood/discharge. What could this be? Help please!

Probably normal. You can get spotting any time and not have it be abnormal so long as it isn't too frequent. Brown is old blood that hasn't gotten washed out soon enough. I usually get leftover brown stuff for a couple days after my period. Unless it continues for the next week or reoccurs several times in the same month I'd ignore it for now. The stomach ache may or may not have anything to do with your menstrual cycle. Hormones do have an impact on our digestive tracts.
