i wasnt sure where to post this. anyway, i am a hairstylist and have a second hands-on interview tomorrow, if all goes well she said she would offer me the job. however im curious on how to inform my current employer so it will not be awkward for the last two weeks im there. she is that sort of boss that will be mad at me for leaving for going to another place and will ask where im going and how much they are paying me, but no matter what she tries to offer, i dont intend on staying...any suggestions?

Well first off, where you are going should be kept a secret. Don't tell anyone that information.
I would explain to her that it's just not working out for you and you want to turn in your 2 week notice. If she asks why, just tell her it's for personal reasons and nothing against her or anyone you work with. Surely she can understand that-

Personally, I have had many jobs in my career. I've been a welder for 30+ years and had countless jobs due to short project times, 3-6 months at best. Probably had upwards of 80 different companies I have worked for. The last 2 weeks are awkward, always awkward. Most of the time I would call in sick, just to get away from the taunting and such. Or I made it a point to not converse with anyone that I knew would go running to the boss. I might try to ignore her, just be like a duck and let her stuff roll off your back. That's my best advice and I hope you find a job that you enjoy!

    Hi whit,

I agree with Mark and would just say try your best to ignore her. If she asks you things like how much they're going to pay you, etc, well that's personal information that you don't have to respond to if you don't want to.

She's a boss, I'm sure she's seen many people come and go, you'll be just one more. I wouldn't worry too much.
