Okay, so... slightly bizarre.
A couple of months back, I got what appeared to be a very angry zit on my breast (on the top of the areolar to be specific). It was swelling and filled with fluid so I figured the best thing to do was just to get rid of it. So I drained the fluid and got some white solid out of it as well and figured that'd be it.
But it kept coming back =/
Anyway so in my attempts to drain it out in the hope it'd just go away, I managed to scar it. So now I have what appears to be a keloid (characteristics are pale, raised with a collagen build-up behind it... so I've assumed it's a keloid but could be wrong) there.
Also upon further investigation, it obviously wasn't just a zit. It seems like some sort of abscess, and underneath it, it feels like there's some sort of odd tube thing going back into my breast.
In retrospect, draining it was a terrible idea. But the whole tube thing unnerves me because I know for sure there isn't something similar underneath my other breast.
What do I do about it?

How can you see where you're going if you spend your whole life looking over your shoulder? –Naughty Ninja
Doctor. They can confirm you don't have an underlying infection which is a big concern in this situation and they can remove the excess scar tissue if it is too annoying or has continued to grow. Sometimes the scar tissue will just keep building even after the infection and wound appear long gone making it a health issue by itself. Occasionally the wound has to be reopened with smoother cuts and properly healed to stop the ongoing formation of scar tissue. Abcesses seem extra prone to such problems. I would guess it's the uneven tearing that happens when they are broken open and the damage done by the infection to the healthy tissue that's trying to grow.
In the future if you have a wound that won't heal and keeps showing signs of infection it is best to see a doctor to get an antibiotic injection and thorough cleaning and exploration of the wound even if it's small. I kinda let something similar go on my butt because I was too embarrassed to see a doctor at the time. It started out feeling like a zit and ended up with an infected lump approaching ping pong ball size and a low grade fever. After I finally managed to break it open and disinfect it enough I ended up with a quarter sized purple lump that occasionally acts up because it has a pocket underneath it that can get reinfected. A simple antibiotic shot can make a bad looking zit nonexistent instead of weeks of pain resulting in a giant purple lump.
Kira, thanks for that, that was really useful.
I'll try and book an appointment with the doctor at some point, I guess >.<
It sounds a little strange but I'm sort of a little scared of/nervous of people. So talking to a doctor about something so private feels uncomfortable to even think about. I've not even talked to family about it.
