Hello.
I am a 37 year old busy mother of 3. I am getting concerned as I continually feel like I am going to get the flue. I have been suffering from aches over my body for months now. this seems to come and go but for the last 4 weeks I have felt these aches every day. I have had blood tests last Oct and this February and all results came back fine. I went back to the doctor this week and am waiting for more blood test results. In the meantime I am concerned that my body seems to be fighting something..... I cant help but worry that I have something serious! I lead a relatively healthy life, I exercise, get enough sleep and eat quite well.... I have nothing to be too stressed about so why these continual aches?!
If your body feels like it's continually fighting something it may be fighting itself. Autoimmune disorders are probably the most common cause of body aches that never go away. Quite frequently though doctors never find the cause. My husband has just learned to live with it. His immune system is suspect anyway since he has so many allergies but it's not bad enough to test as any particular disorder so there is nothing the doctors are willing to do for treatment. Blood tests are very limited because the body is so good at countering problems. I was in and out of the ER for low blood pressure, tachycardia, trouble breathing, and I have severe insomnia. I'm taking some dangerous meds for insomnia and half the time my digestive tract doesn't work. My blood tests look perfect. Luckily I have a doctor who doesn't rely on tests and machines over the patient's opinion and is willing to try treatments even when on paper the person looks completely healthy. A lot of doctors will not.
