I know that it's summer, but even when I'm inside, under air conditioners and fans, I'm still burning up, and everyone else around me is cold. I'm only 19, so I'm pretty sure I'm not going through menopause, but this is getting ridiculous. What should I think?

You should get your thyroid function checked. I had the same problem and it was found that my thyroid was running way too high, something called Grave's disease. Medication has sorted it out for now

Are you overweight at all? My mother is a bit and seems to have this issue, wonder if it's related.

I'm extremely overweight....to the point of morbid obesity, and I was recently put on a diet to get my body on track.

Ok. I don't know whether it's the fat itself, or if it's the fat affecting something else affecting your temperature, but that's definitely a huge link in any case.

I'm sure once the weight starts coming off, your temperature will normalize as well.

There's lots of good weight loss/fitness advice on the forum, have a look around if you haven't already.

Definitely check out your thyroid. If it's not working properly it will cause weight gain irregardless of diet or exercise and make you feel hot all the time. If left untreated the thyroid can destroy itself making eventual treatment more complicated because you will have to take meds to replace everything the thyroid was doing instead of just adjusting it. My friends mom had that happen because they didn't diagnose it fast enough and so all her daughters got tested regularly to find most started to have thyroid issues as late teens to 20s and all are on meds.
