Ive been getting some pretty painful mouth ulcers. Ive researched, looked at pictures, and I'm 99% sure its just canker sores, not herpes. Ive been tested for and STD's during my pregnancies and my doctors never informed me I had anything. My husband also gets tested regularly at work, he's also clean. So I'm pretty sure they are just canker sores.
This time around in on the inside of my lip, close to the left corner of my lips. Its not on my lips, its fully inside my lip. I could feel it coming on and it started hurting BAD. Then I started to get pain in my left jaw. I'm going to say its about in the middle of the left side on my lower jaw. Its also under my jaw. As if you were touching where your jaw and neck meet and trying to push towards your tongue. When I do that, its as if I hitting the pain right on the spot. I'm not sure if its my glands that are hurting. I dont have any swelling that I can feel or see. The pain goes down to the middle of the left side of my neck, and up to the middle of my cheek, and along the lower left half of my jaw. It also will itch randomly. Not like a normal itch, but only where the pain is, it will start to itch. Not sure whats up with that.
I havent been able to eat on that side, and talking hurts, mostly because of the ulcer not the jaw pain. But at random times the pain will shoot through the areas I said, and I cup my jaw and cant talk.
Has anyone had this? Is this normal with regular Canker sores? Or could this possibly be something more serious? Ive had canker sores before, but I'm getting them more frequently now. Theyve never been on my tongue or in groups. The most I've had at any given time is two, and they wont be next to each other in a cluster or anything. But the pain with each ulcer I get is increasing. I've bought the mouth numbing stuff for canker sores, it doesnt work. It wont take the pain away but maybe for 2 minutes, and it tastes nasty. It numbs my tongue more than it numbs my ulcer. Is this normal for canker sores?!
