Over two weeks ago I started with a cough (no cold). I felt somewhat sick and would have coughing fits but nothing bad. I never gets coughs either. Well, now I feel better and am coughing much less but when I do cough, I start choking, like when something "goes down the wrong pipe". It's awful. It happens a few times a day, sometimes right when I wake up and other times more when I am eating or drinking. I do have to clear my throat all the time too. What is wrong with me?
Hmm. Well, none of us (that I know of anyway) are doctors and we can't diagnose you on here. I think you should definitely consider making a doctors appointment. It could be a lymph node that is swollen and causing a bit of obstruction, or an enlarged thyroid, or could be a result of acid reflux, etc.
Do you have any other issues like heartburn, or times frequently in which you belch and a bit comes up in your mouth and burns? (gross I know, but hey...we're all human here.)
