I am new here, I apologize if this is the wrong forum to post this in, but I've browsed every other one and couldn't find anything similar as to where to post this. So if it's in the wrong spot, feel free to move it to its correct location.

Anyways, for about a week and a half I had a hard lump grow on my underwear line, it became soft and squishy (I get these a lot and they are sebaceous cysts, my mom and sister got them too, so I think it's hereditary?, they also always go away on their own) Anyways, this one didn't grow in size, but during a whole day at work it became infected I guess because the underwear was rubbing it and it pretty much "exploded" the bump looks like my inside is hanging out, it's smaller than a pea and it's painful only when I push down on it. It doesn't ooze nor does it bleed. But it's a pain in my you know what. I am using a steroid cream on it and I have to put bandaids on top of it because when I wear underwear over top of it, it kind of sticks to it and dries, plus it hurts A LOT when I have to remove my underwear to pee. I put a self healing bandaid on it for 2 days, took it off and it shrunk, so I aired it out, washed it and left it overnight, next day same cycle but I put a bandaid back on top of it, but I think I left it on for too many days because it's larger now (still smaller than a pea) I've had it before but it was in my belly button after I got it pierced. I'm going to the doctor in about 2 weeks, but I was wondering if anyone has ever had this before? and how long it took to get rid of it? The one in my belly button took forever to get rid of and I'm afraid this one will take too long as well.
