I asked a question online and a dr suggested that I might have rheumatoid arthritis. I looked it up and it does sound like what I have. I wake up and my joints hurt SO bad to the point where I almost can't move them. Mostly my elbows, shoulders and some times my hips. How would I go about finding out if that's what I really have. Would I just go see my regular doctor and tell her I think I have arthritis and would like to check, or do I see a special doctor? I know this is a silly question. Thanks :]

You will need to see your regular doctor first, if they think it is RA then they can refer you to a specialist.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
