I Hi Everyone !!!
As much I know, a generic drug is a copy of a brand name drug whose patent has expired. Can anybody please let know more on the same ???
Thanks
A generic drug has the same composition, same doses, site of action, and mode of action as that of a brand name medication. So basically it is a drug that works the same way without having a company name attached to it. That name is how those big companies make money. Aspirin is owned by Bayer, Bayer calls it Aspirin. A pharmacist will offer Aspirin or Acetylsalicylic Acid. Both are the same thing, except Aspirin will cost more due to the brand name.As much I know, a generic drug is a copy of a brand name drug whose patent has expired.
There are those who believe that dictionaries should not merely reflect the times but also protect English from the mindless assaults of the trendy.
