I just wanted to share what helped me out the other week. I was feeling pretty blue. Just had so many crappy things happening in my neighbourhood and at work. Was starting to feel really bummed about people in general, you know?

I know it's a small thing, but I went searching for things to cheer me up. Searching for some good out there. I found this website that is collecting inspirational stories and it really changed my mood around. Funny when it takes one little action to do that. *removed outbound link*

What things do you do to pick yourself up? Besides chocolate. That's a given!

sorry mb, I had to remove the link as we do not allow posting outbound links on this forum!

So we can't say chocolate, huh? Dang! I'm stumped then j/k j/k

Usually, when I'm feeling down a nice, long, relaxing walk helps me to clear my head and remember that no matter what is bugging me at the moment, it doesn't compare to the blessings I have received in my life.

I also like to play with my dog - he's just so happy go lucky all the time and appreciates good belly scratches and a tossed tennis ball as if you had given him the world! There's not much as uplifting as the unconditional love of your puppy

And then, there's always the favorite comedy I can turn to when I need a smile. It may not fix what is going on in my life, but a funny movie can take me away at least momentarily and remind me to find humor in even the most annoying every day scenarios!

Someone said something to me yesterday that really turned my day around, as I was worrying about a health problem.

"Don't feed the fear"... Embrase the good sides of what's to come out of it...

I felt inspired, smiled, walked away and visualised all the great things that will come out of it...I'm one that strongly believes that there is a positive in every negative, to remind myself of this and to visualise the good, is very, very powerful.

i talk to my husband or my adult son. both men are very strong forces in my life. they usually know just what to say to make me feel better and when they don't have the words, a big hug from either works amazing. love is strong medicine. cherish it!!!!
