    Hi Friends,

I have developed an anxiety disorder lately because of which I have developed a distaste for life. I don't seem to enjoy anything at all. My friend is asking me to seek some professional help. I am tired. Help

I would also suggest seeking professional help. I would speak with your doctor about either seeing a therapist or gettig on some antidepressant/anti-anxiety medication. Those meds do wonders, but if medication is not the route for you, maybe a therapist would help. Either way, if you feel you can't do it on your own, definately seek help.

What has changed in your life within the past year? Please give some more information as to what has been going on in your life?

This could be a number of things. ANd while I encourage professional help, I think one needs to do some self reflection and try other options before getting put on meds. Sometimes mild depression is our way of dealing with tough spots in life, and does not always need to be medically treated. Through the rough spots, we learn about ourselves and gain strength.

So, what's been going on with you lately in your life?

Thank you for replying friends. I have been on steroids for the last couple of years as I have been getting treatment for my irregular periods. The problem doesn't seem to rectify and I am getting stressed out. I have also put on a lot of weight which is again damaging my self esteem

Definitely, you need a counselor. Also, visit a gym and find a fitness coach who may be able to help you train. Join a hobbyists' group, a yoga class, find something you enjoy and hopefully be happy by doing what you love.

Are you still on steroids? What medication are you in right now? How is your period? Have you tried consulting a different doctor? Have you had your hormone levels checked recently? How is your diet, amount of rest, exercise? Do you have family around to help you and support you?

Oh definately working out helps a lot! It makes you feel good after and helps you look good. It actually helps boost a certain chemical in the brain that makes you happy (I think endorphins)...getting enough sleep and eating healthy helps a lot too. It's good for your over all mood and actually getting the right amount of sleep will help with weight loss.

    Dear Friends,
The problem is that as long as I am on these medicines, I am alrite, meaning my menses are perfectly regular. But I can't go on with these hormones for the rest of my life, I am tired now. Yes, I am going to join gym and I have also spoken to some dietician, she says slight diet modification and exercise can rid me of this ailment without ever having to depend on the medicines
