I am 18 and no, I have not engaged in sexual activity. I noticed that I had a pea-sized hard lump underneath my skin near my crotch area- it's located slightly above the left-side labia. It is painless and overnight, it has turned the skin above it slightly red. It's not itchy or releasing any fluids and does not hurt to do anything. The lump is movable, if I press it or move the skin around it, it moves with the skin.

    Is this a bartholin's cyst?
I feel like it's an odd area to have it.
    It seems fairly benign.

The skin above the pea-sized lump has now reddened a bit.
It's not sore and still is painless.

I would suggest sitting in warm water, as warm as you can stand it, or hot compresses. I get these often enough myself. They don't hurt at first, but they can get painful if you don't treat them quickly.
Trying to get a hold of myself is really tough! But I'll keep trying.
