It's been a long time since I've been on here!! Wow!
For the past week or so, the bottom of my left foot starts feeling as if it's resting on the surface of warm water. It goes on from 30 seconds to about 5 minutes. It's not painful it just feels weird.
I'm on my feet a lot at work from 4-5 hours at least 5 days a week. The rest of the time, if I'm not doing minor chores around the house, I'm sitting on my computer. I've had trouble with my sciatic nerve on that side, maybe it's because of that? I also sit with my netbook on my lap, which warms my thigh. Don't know if that's connected but maybe? Meh, I dunno.
It used to be that my brain would jump immediately to lupus or diabetes. While Type II diabetes is possible due to my diet, I'm actually not too worried. I've been much better about my hypochondria in the past year or so.
I'm just honestly curious because it's bizzare!
Trying to get a hold of myself is really tough! But I'll keep trying.
Welcome Back Chrystal C
I also occasionally experience a warming in one leg over the other, ( not usually the foot though) I had a Sciatic injury back in 1999, and sometimes when I am on my feet alot, the Injured side gets warmer and sometimes tingles, like asleep.
Try propping up your feet on a coffee table ( I know, bad manners, lol ) or on the couch, when using the Laptop. Also try to Sit or Stand to ( Favor ) the other side and giving that foot some extra Rest.
Sounds like a bit of a Stressed Sciatic nerve, which runs down the whole leg . so experiment with positions. Hot Bath or just a Heating pad , on the Sciatic side, may help loosen the muscle that may be tensed.
Remember your muscles and tendons do press on nerves and veins and can restrict blood flow. Which can give you a Colder or Warmer Area.
I'm on my feet at least 8 hours a day, I also found those Dr. Shoals cushion inserts helped a bit as it took some of the " Hard Floor " Pressure off of the foot.
You can only use one insert in the one that warms and none in the other , or even Visa verse, to see if it is a pressure related problem .
Good Luck and Happy Turkey Day ( if in USA ).
