    Default Heart Pain??

I don't know how normal this is or not. But every once in a while, usually while I'm lying down, I can feel sharp pains in where my heart would be. So I'm assuming it's my heart. It's not horrible pain, but it is that sharp needle like feeling. I can feel it right now.
Does this happen to anyone else? Also I'm 16 years old, I don't think I should have any heart problem. I'm not too concerned at the moment, but it does freak me out at times.

The only way you'll know is if you see a doctor. If the pain persists and become worse I would definately schedule an appointment with your doctor.
~Today, any person can fight the battles of one day It is only when you and I add the burdens of those two awful eternity's- yesterday and tomorrow, that we break down. It is not the experience of today that drives people mad. It is the remorse of bitterness for something which happened yesterday and the dread of what tomorrow may bring.
Let us therefore, live but one day at a time.~

I had this on occasion too. It could be many things. I highly recommend going to your doctor first to see if he can sort things out.

It could be nerves firing oddly, or you could have Costochondritis, which is inflammation or trauma to the cartilage of the ribs (what connects the bones to the sternum). Costochondritis can cause sharp pains similar to what you are experiencing.

But again, I would go to a General Practitioner or your regular Doctor to be sure.

Looks like with so much stress you're experiencing, your heart is showing some signs of fatigue. How is your diet, amount of rest and exercise? I've had this when I was your age and was diagnosed of angina pectoris.

I don't know much about heart pain, but I do have acid reflux, and laying down makes it worse because gravity isn't helping to keep the acid down. There are lots of ideas here, but it's really hard to know unless you see a doctor. Do you have any heart palpitations, trouble breathing, etc?
