Salmonella can be deadly. Go back to the doctor.
About 4 months ago, i came down with salmonella, and was really sick for few weeks,
becuase i left if for a while before i went to the doctors and by the time i got the results, i was feeling better, so no further treatment was nessasey.
Today i woke up with the same symptoms and the pain just the same as before. pain killers for the stomach and diareah medications arent doing anything for me.
Is there any other way this can be treated apart from going back to the doctors?
Salmonella can be deadly. Go back to the doctor.
I have but one lamp by which my feet are guided, and that is the lamp of experience.

Shall we gather strength by irresolution and inaction? Shall we acquire the means of effectual resistance by lying supinely on our backs and hugging the delusive phantom of hope, until our enemies shall have bound us hand and foot?

Was reading the first time how bad it could be.
I only went to the local doctor for it the first time, with extremely bad stomach pains and bad diarrhea(sorry.) and this time exactly the same symptoms.
Only thing was by the time the results came back (one week later) and the fact i went to the doctor almost a week after the symptoms started, the pains and diarrhea went away, so the doctor decided not to use the treatment of anti biotics, but said theres a chance it still could come back as the bactria sitll might be in my systems.
Ended up going to the doctors late last night was given anti biotics for jsut general intestinal and stomach infections and now waiting for test results
Salmonella residing in your stomach for months is extremely unlikely. Unknowingly eating another piece of undercooked chicken however is much more likely. If it is salmonella then the doctor will prescribe the general antibiotics and you must take them exactly as directed, this means finishing the entire prescription despite maybe feeling better. You must must must finish the whole prescription. There is hardly anything you can do without the aid of a doctor, only things like gravol and pain medications will help.
Also be careful with what you read online, a lot will overexaggerate. Believe your doctor. Salmonella infections unfortunately happen quite a bit but our immune system can typically deal with it quite well. It can get out of hand but by that time it is often so debilitating that you are already in the hospital from the pain alone.
