I wasn't sure I had a yeast infection, since it was my first time ever getting one so I left it untreated for a month before going to the clinic to get it treated. I had a very itchy labia and vulva and I would get this substance or film on my labia from scratching it, I guess. The film crumbles in my fingers when I rub it, and it has no smell to it and I can roll it into a ball.
My yeast infection has cleared up, but I'm still getting this film on my labia. Does anyone know what it is and how do I treat it? I never had this problem prior to having a yeast infection.
I am not a doctor, but am well-versed on the topic of yeast/fungus as it applies to men and women.
I would go on the continued assumption that this is still a yeast issue, and continue using what ever is helping. I personally prefer to use colloidal silver for most anti-yeast/fungal issues, but be sure to research its use and use a quality, safe one if you ever decide to choose that route (contact me privately if you would like a suggestion, have used various brands for over 20 years). Probiotics are also very helpful, and I've known many women who use plain organic yogurt topically and internally to re-populate the healthy flora that combats yeast.
The only other thing I would take into consideration is sexual activity, new partner, possible STD. If none of those apply, I would continue to assume it's a yeast/fungal issue and would start by looking into the above options.
Hope that helps.
