Scared of upcoming surgery!!!
I fractured my coccyx/tailbone when i was 13 years old and didnt do anything about it. I am now 27 and have lost a conciderable amount of weight... the more weight i lose the worse my tailbone feels. I cannot sit on a chair properly, and i have alot of pain on the sight still to this day. The doctors did an xray a few months ago and it appears that I fractured it and it healed completly wrong hense the pain of sitting and doing other activities... I go for surgery next tuesday to have it removed.. I cant find very much information on the surgery so i only know what my orthopedic surgeon is telling me. He suggests i be off work for a minimum of six weeks. My family doctor is sure that that wont be enough time as i have my own cleaning business and the demandingness of that job will be too much.. I dont know what to expect! I do anticipate alot of pain, and know that i wont be able to sit or walk for a few weeks. If anyone has had this surgery done befor your imput would be greatly appreciated as i only have a week and am flipping out... SCARED!!!

Hi Kysme.
I'm sorry about what you're going through. I don't really have much advice. Just wanted to say that I hope your surgery goes well and you'll be feeling better in the near future. I know you're scared, but try to focus on the 'feeling better'.
