Suggestions to get relief from stress
I am marketing head of a FMCG company and over a few weeks I am feeling dizziness, anxiety, and a dreadful sense of doom. After a recent fight at work with Boss over a marketing campaign the situation become severe. Stress is destroying my life. I don?t know what to do. Please suggest.

I suffer from stress a lot and identify with what you are feeling. It?s horrible, especially when it?s associated with work and there?s no escape from it, even at home lying in bed at night.
I?ve tried various techniques with varying success. Its true, deep calm breathing does help and taking long slow breathes and counting in for 3, out for 3, 10 times takes the focus off what?s happening in your head and body and can be a calming effect.
You really should see someone professionally to help you deal with what?s happening and maybe give you some techniques to help in times of stress. Even a doctor, sometimes medication really is the answer. Meditation worked for me, well for a while, when I was really bad. Just helping to clear my head and forget about work for a while.
Different things do work for different people. Try and realise work isn?t everything; it helps if you have something positive going on outside work to help you get some balance back and make you realise it isn?t the be all and end all.
Hopefully you can take a few days off work and in that time plan some things to do. See a doctor, get a massage, go to a day spa. Anything to relax you and make you feel better. In today?s society it?s a common problem and there are great books out there about dealing with work place stress and anxiety.
Good luck, be kind to yourself!

Oh...I hear you both about work related stress....when something awfull happens and it's centered around your workplace and the people you have to deal with/work with day in and day out it's SOOOO hard to leave it at work when the day is done....i'm going through the same type of thing at the moment...and getting back to my yoga (deep breathing is so essential to get through the bad moments....and the meditation...)...i also like aromatherapy...(spearamint is a good stress relieving scent...and lavender is relaxing...)...and I really do believe getting grouded in your faith...whatever that may be...connecting with something bigger than yourself for a while each week, it could be God...could be nature...could be community service...all these things really help. If your problems stemmed from something deeper than just one incident...then maybe meds would be the way to go...but you can get through this...and it will get better with time, and in the long run you would be worse off with the side effects meds bring...
Take care!!!!
