..I'm kinda showing signs of it.

    Peeing and drinking too much.
Dark ring about my neck (although, I've always had that).
    Dry skin (had that, too).
Sometimes if I sit in a position for too long I get tingly in my fingers and legs...

How do I tell my parents, "I think I have diabetes"? My mom will freak and my dad will just tell me it's my fault since all I eat is junk food which is a lie because in the past year and a half my diet has improved.

How old are you? Can you go to the doctor on your own and get checked out?
If you think that you may have diabetes you need to start making major changes right now. Change your diet (I'm not saying it's bad now because I don't know) but start eating the way we all know we should eat but don't. And start getting exercise. Basically, try to take care of yourself. And please, go see a doctor and get a general check up and find out why you have poor circulation and dry skin, etc.
Good luck, I hope for the best.

Then you definitely need to see a doctor. How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? Do you have diabetes in your family?

    Post diabetic

    Hello Ladies,

My husband is diabetic and on insulin he was drinking a lot too and knew something was wrong.I worked with a lady also a diabetic she said she had thrush a lot and went to see her doctor and was told shes diabetic. From the chemist you can buy glucose kits this is where you take a little blood sample from your finger and test your blood glucose.Has for the dark ring around your neck i also have this and my doctor said thats because i'm lacking in insulin but the tests came back i'm not diabetic.I have an hormone problem with facial hair and had lots of tests.I tested my blood glucose last time it was 5.3 which is fine for me.Go and have a blood glucose test some chemists will do it for you.Mother in law was diabetic and so was her sister.

    You take care

I talked to both my parents about it and my father told me that I read too much and I worry myself (which is true). He said that since I've been exercising more than I used to that my body is draining all the water I have and therefore I drink more... I guess I can go along with that.

    Thanks everyone. ^_^
