    Default Strong Urine Smell???

About 2 weeks ago I started noticing my urine was smelling so strong, a different, unusual smell. My husband even noticed it when he came into the bathroom before I had flushed. What could this be, I don't have an other symptoms. I do have diabetes and am on insulin 4 times a day. Please help!

Sounds like you need to drink more water!

Flush those kidneys and bladder out... help prevent UTI (Urinary Tract Infection).

Also, get yourself some real cranberry juice; it acts as an antiseptic to prevent UTIs.

If that doesn't help, by all means see a doctor.

    Default strong urine smell..............

I know, that's the first thing I started doing again, drinking water. I hope it helps, but think I will call my endo in the morning just to ask some questions. Thanks for the quick response.

    Default urine

yes, drink lots of water everyday. if your urine is a dark yellow and sometime will have smell usually means you are dehydrated and need to clean out the bladder. your urine should almost be really light almost clear yellow. also green tea helps very good for you and it will make you go to the bathroom alot and will clean you out.

Yes, by all means take blood-in-urine seriously!
If the blood you see in your urine is NOT from your monthly cycle (where it just "mixes" in there), then get to a doctor... ASAP!

It could be anything... and blood should not show up in your urine. You get yourself to a doctor and have some test run on you.

If it's a very small amount, like on your tp after you tinkle it could be nothing more than a urinary tract infection but you definitely don't want to take any chances. Go see your doctor.

You might have bladder and kiddney infection and not even know it. With you having diabetes it could be a concern. I would go to your Dr. if I were you and buy CRANBERRY JUICE (NO ADDED SUGAR) it really helps flush out your kiddneys and bladder and whatever else ills you....
