Skin Problem
Strange reaction to cold weather. I need to know if others have had this happen and what if anything you did about it? I am 45 years old and am in generally very good health. Last winter, everytime I went outside into the cold air, my face, ears, and hands turned very bright red and started to tingle and itch. If I walk onto a cold floor, even with socks on, my feet do the same thing! This reaction has started to happen again with this year's cold weather. Any ideas as to why this might be happening? By the way, this also happens with exposure to cold water. Thanks for any help.

That happens to me if the temp is in the teens and the wind is blowing!
You can cover up your ears, nose and mouth with by wearing ear muffs, a skull-cap and a scarf. Wear thick gloves to protect your hands and layer your clothing for warmth -- including your socks!
Make sure you moisturize your skin well before venturing out into the cold.
These measures will help guard against frost bite.
Your symptoms sound like the start of frost bite.
