Sprained Ankle!
With all of the constant hiking, jogging, biking, and whatnot that I have always done in my life, its amazing I haven't done this yet. But sunday (today is tuesday) I was playing with my dog, and we were running full speed along this strongly sloped hill. My feet and ankles were turned strongly outwards AND I put tons of weight on them running. Yeah, it wasn't too smart.
Well, my left ankle is paying for that now. I am so sore, and swollen, and my range of movement is very slim. It's not like a terrible sprain on which I can't walk, but its a real nusiance and really hurts if I am not on extra strength tylenole. I go to college and work in the school bookstore, so I am on my feet quite a bit and must be every day. I am otherwise very healthy, a vegetarian, drink tons of water every day, and take suplements. I have been putting an ice pack on it when I get home and wrapping it with an ace bandage until morning. Should I keep the wrap on it all day too? Does anyone have any other tips I can partake in to keep this bad pain at bay until the sprain has healed?

Do you elevate it? That will keep swelling down.
Definitely keep it wrapped up as often as possible. Try to stay off of it as much as possible. See if you can get sit-down tasks at the bookstore.
Get Student Health to look at it. They can give you a note for classes, maybe get you access to one of those golf cart things. They have them on my campus. Don't be "too proud" to use them; it will make your healing time much shorter. An injury that impedes your ability to move around can really tire you out and mess up your grades.
Take care of yourself!
