Im hoping other ladies have the same problem... a bikini wax scares the **** out of me so i resort to shaving

This is fab, as long as i wait a week between each time i shave - unfortunately waiting a week is not always a possible scenario, i could have a date on a monday for example and then he might spontaneously ask me out on a hot date on thursday for example (hey, i can dream)

Sooo, this brings me to how on earth do i stop/ease/control the shaving rash...any ideas ladies? Does ice work?

i have this same issue. Ive tried bikini waxing recently however and its not all as bad as it sounds. I actually prefer it to shaving now because it lasts longer, and no razor burn. however when i did shave i would wait 3-4days max in between but i would always use sensitive skin shaving cream or do it under a flow of water in the shower or well submerged in the bath tub. both get you a cleaner less painful shave

    Default Razor Burn YIkES!!

I too am like that too, but i like to be completely shaven so i've never even dared getting the whole thing waxed...yikes...But i found two ways on top of what the other lady said about under water shaving...lol...After your done shaving cool the water as much as you can handle slowly tho!!! Because goosebumps makes razor burn worse!!! And they sell over the counter creams so too that treat and prevent the GREAT uncomfortabilities of razor burn!!

Thank you for all your ideas, ill be popping to the store soon to get some cream.

I think i will have to work up the courage to have a bikini wax..it will be difficult due to knowing that when my sister went, she came out with only one side done as she was in too much pain.

Is it right that there is a 'better' time to have a wax? I.e straight after/just before your period is due?
