I'm sure this question has been asked before, but does anyone know of any remedies to take the swelling down in tonsils? I woke up yesterday morning with tonsils the size of golf balls. It's been going on for two days now and it's very unbearable. I can't swallow, I can't eat very well, and I can hardly even close my mouth all the way. It doesn't seem to be strep (sp?) throat because I'm not getting visible bacteria build up and I don't feel sick at all--just that my tonsils are ridiculously swollen. Has anyone had this problem (I'm sure a lot of you have)? How did you deal with it and at what point did you see a doctor?

I think it's to a point that you should see your doctor.

Ohhh thats awful, you poor woman. You must be in a lot of pain.

I agree with Fallen, i think you have got the point you need to have your tonsils removed . It really is time to see a doctor, hope you feel better soon .
