Exclamation Help!!! Lump?

okay, well I'm very scared. Just now I found a lump on the left side of my vaginal area. i found it when I was shaving-something I've been doing for about 2 months. I'd say the lump is smaller than a dime, but big enough to notice. Its also kinda hard. It didn't hurt all day, but now its sore (cuz i shaved over it?)
Well..PLEASE tell me what it is! I've never noticed it before, and I shaved yesterday. what could have shown up that fast? A large ingrown hair? Its not...cancer or anything...is it? Showing up in one day...?
Oh my Gosh, I'm shking right now I'm so scared. Please help!
I have never had sex or anything, I'm just about to turn 16. HELP HELP HELP!

It could be an ingrown hair, or something as nonthreatening as a pimple. If it keeps worrying you, see a doctor, but I'd suggest waiting a few days to see if a little hair-end pops out of it.

I really hope its an ingrown hair. It doesn't hurt really, only when I constantly was touching it/shaved over it to see it. I think it even went down a tiny bit. I would not be at all comfortable at the doctor for this, so I really hope it goes away. anyone else who can give me information would make me feel so much better! Thank you for your help.

Pretty normal sweet.

We all get things like that no matter what age...

Don't stress, even nickers that are too tight around the outsides of us can cause pimples, that feel like welts, if you wear jeans a lot? They can rub, it's tough being a woman hey?

Bet your next post says, it's gone down even more.

Yes, I do wear jeans mostly every day. But I've never gotten something like this before..at least, since I've started shaving. If I did have a lump before then, I guess I would have never noticed it. It hasn't gone down any more yet, though. It really scared me when I noticed it last night. I was literally shaking..and completely miserable.
Now, though, since I've gotten these replys, and since I talked to my boyfriend(I tell him everything, he's my best friend), I've started to feel like its not the end of the world, and that I'm okay.
It's just that I'm so new to this all, becoming a woman. Its been very hard for me, and stressful. Between irregular (and longgg) periods, gross hair, being ****y, and friend problems, I just am overwhelmed. The thought of having an infection or worse down there scares me, and puts me over the edge. *sigh.* I bet everyone on this site knows exctly what I mean, and maybe was scared once too. And thats the reason I keep coming back to this site, because you all know how to help me, when I desperately need it most. Thank you all, so much. It's nice to know that I can look for help, and get it.

Well ... maybe it changes a little ... instead of that bump freaking you out, it just ticks you off. A LOT. Later in life, someone may be looking where that bump is
An infection's no big deal, just a big pain. A pill or a paste can clear up just about anything.
Friends suck, often.
Yeah, I'm 19 (for a few more weeks anyways,) and I am going to believe Kenny Chesney when he says "these are nowhere near the best years of your life."
You'll be fine

Mmm... no longer a teenager, and a Gemini being " a few weeks away", June baby... you know what they say about Gemini's nor do we believe in it, a bit like the blondes, seeing as i was one.

Well believe him, (Kenny Chesney) everyone, because it keeps getting better trust me....
