I've put on a bit of weight recently and now I have a rather embarrasing problem.
I got strange thread type veins on my buttocks!? I haven't got a clue what's caused them and I would love to find out if anyone has any advice on how to get rid of the, or make them less vissible?!

Well, they are probably spider veins. They are small veins that are very close to the skin. These veins show up for various reasons. Some reasons are (as you mentioned) weight gain due to the increased need for blood flow, excessive standing or sitting in the same positions, changes in your body that effect blood flow, and age.

They can be treated with lasers. I am not exactly sure how the treatment works, but it supposedly gets rid of them. They may lessen if you lose some weight, but they might not now that they are there.
