I love when thicker women can embrace and accept who they are. Tyra looks the best she ever has and i wish i looked like that. Women are supposed to have curves!!!

Personally, I think America itself has a miscontrude thought on what plus size actually is. Plus size is anything from a size 12 (sometimes even 10) and up.......an average person weighing 150 can wear this size depending on their height. In most European places this size is considered average like in Brazil (which I visited and a woman in one the stores told me Americans are ****** cause a size 4 woman is undernourished and a size 12 is how the men like women....curvatious) or Africa. Only in America is a woman a size 14 or 16 and considered "fat."

This way of thinking is also why many teenagers in this day and age have trouble with body image. Because we look up to people like Nicole Richie, Janice ****inson, and Lindsey Lohan.....all oh whom have suffered from eating disorders. Being a size 0 is not normal and usually harmful to the person (some cases cant be helped.....fast metabolism). I think we need to praise more people like Tyra, Jordan Sparks, Tocara, and Jennifer Hudson because they have curves and are proud of them. Also, they remind us of what an average woman looks like and that it is okay to be plus size and that we shouldnt be afraid to be this size. So kudos to plus size and proud women.

Interesting how this is true and many years ago Marilyn Monroe was labeled a sex symbol and even posed for Playboy ....... if I am not mistaken she was a size 14. Wonder if she'd been as famous in today's society?

Your not mistaken she was all woman, and size 14

And, i think so, she had a lot going for her.

In Australia, size 14 is considered fine as well.....

    Anyway what's in a size?

It's how you exhube your sexuality and confidence.....

In the UK a size 12 is fat... At least in my mind. Women are a size 10 or under for me, but of course that's just personal.

But the facts are, if you are a size 12, you are fat - you're not obese, but you are fat. And you need some exercise and to cut down on the chocolate. It's really all quite simple.

Size 14-16 is definately time to worry.

    Wrong, Anon :P
I wear a size 14-16 in pants and my BMI is officially in the normal weight range thanks to Mexico. My hip bones are big and I'm really tall. A girl who's 5'2" and wearing a size 14-16 pant is probably "fat" but as you get taller, that changes.

USA sizes are a bit different I think? Anyway, size 16 is certainly fat. But then I guess I don't really know how height affects things..
