I find myself very disappointed in Tiger Woods. While I realize that being a celebrity carries pressures and temptations that "normal" folk may not encounter, I dislike the way that Tiger falsely portrayed an image of the ultimate family man and so publicly spoke about the importance of his family.

He was a good role model before. Where I previously admired him for his athleticism, having his head screwed on straight, and helping kids, I am now just watching his golf swing... and am likely to cheer on his competition. It will be interesting to see when and if he starts winning again. So much of golf is mental. It has to be tough to not only have deceived his wife and kids but the whole world. When the jig is up... ouch.

Life is nothing more than a series of choices....May all of us make the best choices in our own lives that we possibly can.

Really, the only choice that can be argued publically about Tiger (now legally his real name, no longer is it Eldridge...another choice he made) Woods is whether or not HE chose to become a golfer.

Clearly, his father encouraged, influenced, forced or persuaded him to play at a very early age. We've all seen the re-run from the Mike Douglass show... Whether or not Tiger would have chosen the same route, one will never know.

I hope that all of us take something from the Tiger/Elin Woods situation and learn from it.

I was shocked when i first heard the news of his affairs, but we will never really know what happened behind closed doors and what was going through his mind.

At the end of the day the only people that will be suffering the most will be his children. His Ex wife will move on eventially and so will he, but his children wont and thats who i feel sorry for....

Default Money and fame changes people

I have 2 things to say. First off- his ex wife was made out to be an innocent victim, and rightfully so, but we can't truly say we know the entire story. Every family has deep dark secrets. Having said that, there is no doubt that Tiger was completely wrong in what he did.
The other thing is that once someone attains fame and money, new doors open and they are given opportunities that average people just aren't. More often then not they take them. One of those things happens to be women flocking to you. Maybe a stronger an would resist, but many would give in. Tiger was clearly one of the weaker ones.
I have written and read blogs all about people changing with a little money and notoriety. it' nothing new.
In no way am I justifying what he did though
